H.R. 112 Electronic Privacy Protection Act

Bans any "information collection device" that doesn't include proper labeling, or notice and consent.
Consumer Privacy Protection Act
Sponsor: Sen. Ernest Hollings (D-S.C.)
Status: Introduced last year. Plans to reintroduce this session.
Sets strict Internet privacy standards, including an opt-in requirement.
