BATES

Bates North America promoted Kara Lazarus to senior vice president, director of national broadcast buying group. She had been VP.

COMCAST

Comcast Cablevision of Delmarva Inc. named Erika L. Forsythe manager, government relations and public affairs. She had been a marketing specialist for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Comcast Cable named Earle Jones VP and general manager for its cable system in the District of Columbia. He had been area director for AT&T's District Cablevision.

COMEDY CENTRAL

Jennifer McNab Baumann was promoted to director, affiliate advertising. She had been manager.

COUNTRY MUSIC TELEVISION

Kaye Zusmann was named vice president, program development and production. She had been director, programming at Home & Garden Television.

COX

Cox Business Services in Baton Rouge named Randy Hymel general manager. He had been GM for Radiofone.

CTAM

The Cable ad Telecommunications Association for Marketing elected John Dyer to the board of directors. He is the senior vice president, operations for Cox Communications.

GOTUIT MEDIA

Gotuit Media's audio subsidiary, Gotuit Audio Inc. appointed Jim Ragonese vice president, business development. He had been VP, business development and product management at MicroTouch Systems Inc.

HALLMARK CHANNEL

Kirstine Layfield was named senior vice president, programming. She had been general manager and VP, programming for Toronto based Trio Television.

HTVN

The Hispanic Television Network Inc. appointed Frederico E. Martinez executive vice president, affiliate distribution expansion and program funding.

MEDIA STATION

Media Station Inc. announced three promotions: Josette Bonte to senior vice president, business development. She had been principal, new media strategies. Jeneane Harter to VP, content licensing. Scott Morrison to VP, marketing. He had been director, product marketing at Epicor Software.

MIXED SIGNALS TECHNOLOGIES

Mixed Signals Technologies announced two appointments: Christoph Pachler to chief financial officer and senior vice president. He had been a consultant with Viant Corporation. Tim Ordaz was named VP, product marketing. He had been lead product manager, broadband products for Intertainer.

MSNBC.COM

Tom Brew was named executive editor. He had been executive producer, news at Onvia.

MTV NETWORKS

Sabrina Silverberg was named senior vice president, music strategy and relations. She had been executive VP, business affairs for Vulcan Programming II.

PLAYBOY TV

Playboy TV Networks promoted Gary Rosenson to vice president, Western division sales and affiliate marketing. He had been executive director, sales and affiliate sales Western region.

RAINBOW MEDIA

Rainbow Media Holdings Inc. promoted Arthur Minson to senior vice president, finance. He had been VP, business operations.

SEACHANGE INTERNATIONAL

Bill Carleton was appointed director, sales for cable advertising traffic and billing produts. He had been director, sales and marketing for LAN international.

SPORTVISION INC.

Co-founder Stan Honey was promoted to president. He will continue in his duties as chief technology officer.

TRIO

Bill Haber was named president and CEO of Trio, the entertainment service owned and operated by USA Cable. He is currently an executive producer for the CBS miniseries Jack and the Beantalk and is the advisor to the president of Save the Children.

UPN

Joanna Lowry was named senior vice president, corporate communications. She had been VP, marketing and new business development at LMNO Productions.

VALUEVISION

ValueVision International Inc. named Jonathan Boltax, vice president, enhanced broadcast technologies. He had been director of NBC's Enhanced Broadcast Group.

VH1

Peter Gaffney was promoted to vice president, program planning. He had been director, program planning and scheduling for Showtime. Rick Krim was named executive vice president, talent and music programming. He had been senior VP, talent acquisitions and marketing for EMI Music Publishing.

VIVIDON

Peter Tyrrell was named vice president, sales and business development. He had been VP, business development for ArrowPoint Communications.
