CableB2B will also handle how those services are offered through cable-modems, advanced set-top boxes and other cable-related technologies, CableLabs said.

Talks to Avert Strike Drag On

Los Angeles— Producers and writers continued to negotiate Friday in an effort to avoid a strike that could cripple Hollywood production.

Both sides have agreed to a news blackout, so it is difficult to gauge which issues have been resolved. When the talks began, demands included an increase in compensation that would cost producers $99.7 million over three years. Writers also want more of the licensing fee when a show goes to cable.
