Atlanta Falcons' 'Hard Knocks' To Debut August 5

The latest installment of HBO’s behind-the-scenes sports series Hard Knocksfocuses on the Atlanta Falcons as they progress through NFL Training Camp. The five episode series — which marks the ninth season of the franchise — will premiere on HBO on Tuesday, August 5 at 10 p.m. E.T./P.T.

“We’re excited to work with the Atlanta Falcons and HBO Sports on Hard Knocks. We want to thank Arthur Blank, Thomas Dimitrof, Mike Smith and the entire Flacons’ organization for the trust they have in NFL Films by allowing us unprecedented access into their training camp. The Falcons present numerous storylines with a veteran coaching staff, star players and newcomers all coming together to attempt to rise up back to the top of the NFC,” said Howard Katz, COO of NFL Films and NFL Senior Vice President of Broadcasting, in a release.

Last year’s Hard Knocks focused on another NFL team, the Cincinatti Bengals. That five-part series was a success, averaging 3.6 million viewers per episode. The Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs have also been featured on the show.

Hour-long episodes will debut on HBO each Tuesday at 10 p.m. E.T/P.T.
