Current Wins An Emmy

Current TV collected an Emmy for creative achievement in interactive television.  Former Vice President Al Gore, Current's Chairman, and CEO Joel Hyatt took the stage to retrieve the statuette.  The voice-over described Current TV as "the network built for the Internet generation."  The audience gave Gore a standing ovation.  With his wife Tipper looking on from her seat Gore said: "We are tryng to open up the television medium so that viewers can help to make television and join the conversation of democracy and reclaiim decmocary by talking about the choices we have to make."
