DIRECTV is scheduled to launch another wave of new High Definition Channel tomorrow and one of them will be the new MGM HD channel.
The MGM HD channel is slated to appear on DIRECTV channel 255 and will offer viewers the best movies from MGM in full glorious High Definition.
MGM HD has also launched a new website at http://www.mgmhd.com which offers we browsers their schedule for the month and also offers a video preview of what’s on this month (and what some folks may find interesting is that the downloadable video preview is presented in full 1080p resolution.)
Looking at the lineup for the rest of October it looks like MGM HD may be a great channel is you’re a true Hollywood movie buff!
SBE Show Canceled
I have been running around getting ready to leave tommorow for Reno, NV for the 2007 Satellite & Broadband Expo. Just after I dropped the dog off at the kennel for his vacation my PDA phone beeped with an email from the SBE Show promoter informing us that the SBE Show (which was scheduled to open tomorrow) was canceled.
I immediately emailed the show promoter back to make sure the email was not a hoax. I quickly got a reply back from the promoter telling me that the email unfortunately was not a hoax.
Since hearing the news I have been scrambling to throw some kind of get together for those folks like me who will still be headed to Reno. I am not looking to do anything big just want to have a time for those satellite folks who were planning on going to the show to meet with other satellite people and do some networking.
If you have any ideas or want to come you can email me at reno@satelliteguys.us, and we will see what we can do.
My plane leaves Hartford tomorrow morning at 6am and I will be in Reno by Noon. I do hope to meet many of our MultiChannel readers in Reno. If you do see me please stop me and say hi! Thanks for Reading!
