Full List of TV Stations That Want to Drop Analog on or Before Feb. 17

February 11, 2009

Despite fast-tracked legislation allowing them to wait until June 12 (see Analog TV: Stay of Execution), a total of 491 TV stations across the country have told the FCC in the past week they want to cease analog broadcasts on or before next Tuesday, Feb. 17.

That’s in addition to the 190 stations that already terminated analog, or have already notified the FCC of their intention to do so.

The FCC’s full list of the 681 stations, grouped by Nielsen Designated Market Area (DMA), is available here: http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/DA-09-221A3.pdf. An Excel spreadsheet is available for download here.

The FCC also has posted a list of all 1,793 full-power stations, with those ending analog on or before Feb. 17 in boldface red type, as a PDF or Excel spreadsheet.
