Fox News Mara Liasson Fumes after Obama Press Conference

February 10, 2009

Mara Liasson, National political correspondent for National Public Radio (NPR) and long-time contributor to Fox News, appears to be fuming after President Obama called on Huffington Post blogger Sam Stein during yesterday’s news conference. (It’s said to be the first time a president has acknowledged a blogger during a White House press conference, so the moment generated a bit of press chatter.)

Just over an hour ago, Ana Marie Cox (formerly Wonkette, now frequenting MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow) reported in on Twitter:

Mara Liasson next to me; on the phone; just said “He called on Huffington Post! I was surprised he didn’t call on Air America!” Oh honey.

P.S. Stein is a qualified reporter. Click here to jump to his Huffington Post page.

Stein’s background:

Previously he has worked for Newsweek magazine, the New York Daily News and the investigative journalism group Center for Public Integrity. He has a masters from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and is a graduate of Dartmouth College.

It\’s also worth noting that another former gay \”escort\” and p0rn star who appeared in all-male videos in the \’90s, Matt Sanchez, is a regular commenter at Fox News. Sanchez and Gannon were scene canoodling at last year\’s CPAC.

Gannon is (rather, was) a paid male prostitute, both literally and figuratively, for the Republican party.

If that is the precedent the GOP wants to go with, I think we need further investigation of how Gannon got into the White House in spite of his \”credentials\”.

Yes, it\’s said by those who are trying to revise history to exclude the fact that Bush called on Jeff Gannon, a male prostitute blogger for Talon.com, during his press conference. You might want to adjust this little fact in your story.
