It's 3:00 p.m. and My Comcast Email Just Crashed

March 10, 2009

Uh, oh. My Comcast email went ka-boom about 30 minutes ago. Suddenly, the Comcast system started asking for my email passwords. But, when I entered the passwords, nothing happened. Apparently, the system no longer recognizes my log in information.

So, I hopped over to Comcast webmail, but webmail isn’t functioning either.

Finally, after about 30 minutes of total wait time, a very nice customer service agent answered. He explained: the incoming email server is down.

When I asked how many customers are affected, he replied, “lots!” He said many customers are calling in.

Bottom line: Comcast customer service says our email should back and up and running in about 30 minutes - which should be approximately 3:50 p.m. PT.
