John McCain & Steve Schmidt: OBama's Chief Fundraisers

August 1, 2008

Thanks, Team McC!  100,000 donors filled Obama’s coffers just yesterday alone.

John McCain’s bitter and seemingly desperate television attack ad comparing Obama to Paris Hilton seems to have stirred up a hornet’s nest of voters.

Karl Rove’s protégé, Steve Schmidt, is responsible for day-to-day operations of the McCain campaign (per the NY Times yesterday).  Is the Rove-era over?

Just yesterday alone, over 100,000 people donated to the Obama campaign.  Over one-third of those were first time donors, according to Obama’s campaign manager, David Plouffe.  200,000 supporters contributed in the last week.

Here’s Plouffe’s message to donors, distributed a few minutes ago.

OK.

It has been somehow (and miraculously) somehow comparing Keith Olbermann to Edward R.Murrow.

Then making sure everyone had seen a days-ago report showing Fox Business Channel has low ratings.

Now this?

I suspect that MCN actually would like you to, at least on occasion, chat about your thoughts on media matters — not just regurgitate your own often sophomoric ideological thoughts.

Please grow up and spare us the childish attacks on those you simply don't like.
