SCI FI's Stargate Atlantis Season Four Ends on Ratings Upswing

March 10, 2008

Now headed into season five and the landmark 100th episode, SCI FI Channel’s Stargate Atlantis closed out season four in a ratings upswing.

The season four finale "is the best P25-54 performance for Atlantis in Live + Same Day data since 8/18/06, the night of the Stargate SG-1 200th episode," says SCI FI in their press release distributed a few minutes ago.

(Stargate SG-1 led viewers into Atlantis before it was cancelled after a record ten-season run.)

Here’s the full text of the SCI FI release:

Friday’s season finale of Atlantis (note that this includes only same-day DVR playback) delivered a 1.5 HH rating, 2.117 MM P2+, 1.061 MM P18-49s and 1.248 MM P25-54s.

This is the best P25-54 performance for Atlantis in Live + Same Day data since 8/18/06, the night of the Stargate SG-1 200th episode.

For the winter 2008 season 4.5 of Stargate Atlantis the series averaged a 1.5 HH rating, 2.065 MM total viewers, 1.249 MM P25-54s and 1.149 MM P18-49s. Note that this data includes full DVR playback data in the weeks for which it is available. This is an increase vs. Fall 2007 season 4.0 of +15% in HH rating, +18% in P2+, +18% in P25-54s and +18% in P18-49s.

Stargate Atlantis was the #1 cable program in primetime on Friday for P25-54 viewers.

I think it is a shame you are cancelling Stargate Atlantis. I really enjoyed it when Dr Beckett was on. I think when you took him off it ruined the whole show.
