SCI FI Channel's First Quarter: Best Ever Among Women 18-34

Some tidbits from SCI FI Channel’s just released first quarter numbers -

According to the press release:

– First quarter ‘08 was SCI FI’s best ever among Women 18-34 (up 22%). 

– SCI FI also grew 19% among Women 18–49, and 12% with Women 25-54 compared to a year ago. 

– Younger viewers were also up  - 12% among 2-17 year olds. 

– Adults 18-49 and 25-54 grew 3%, and total viewers grew 6%. 

–  This is the 6th consecutive quarter with year-to-year growth in the 3 key female demographics: 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

Per Stargate Atlantis:

The season 4.5 premiere on January 4, 2008 delivered its best ever performance in Adults 18-34 (755,000) topping the series premiere, and averaging 1.488 million Adults 18-49 and 1.577 million Adults 25-54, the best performances in these measures since July 2005.  Stargate Atlantis achieved double digit growth in all key demographics, most notably a 34% rise among Adults 18-34, 24% among Adults 18-49 and 24% among Adults 25-54 compared to the first half of the fourth season.
