Godspeed, Katherine
Katherine Olson’s memorial service is on-going now. Katherine was a bright light of hope who still had much to give. We are strugging to cope with the news of her senseless death. We extend our condolences to the Olson family in this difficult time.
A friend of Katherine’s posted the following on the "Remembering Katherine Ann Olson" Facebook page so I think it’s fitting to repeat it here:
I am reminded of a verse we put on our [cross-country running] team shirts one year:
“Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Godspeed Katherine. You will not be forgotten.

Katherine is in heaven with Jesus. She suffers no more and is enjoying her eternal reward with her Savior. It is us, those that are left behind, that are poorer, and worse off without her presence. My sincere condolences to her family and friends. The only consolation I can offer is that you will see Katherine again one day, and then it will be forever.
