HD Leader Feedback
August 12, 2007
Boy did I get a lot of feedback and email regarding my Friday column, where I named DirecTV the HD Leader. Many of you had different opinions on what being the HD Leader means. For many, it is the number of channels offered in HD. For others, it’s all about who offers the best HD picture quality.
All are valid points and are noted.
But I still feel that DirecTV deserves credit for waking up the industry, which is helping to accelerate the rollout of many new high definition channels on all providers. No matter who your cable or satellite provider is ultimately you can thank DirecTV for all the new HD content you will be seeing this fall.

Dish Network will be holding it’s quarterly "Tech Chat" Monday night at 9 p.m. ET on Dish Network Channel 101. This hour long show hosted by Mark Jackson, Dan Minnick and Leslie Harper will inform Echostar’s Dish Network customers on all the technical happenings going on at Dish Network.
This edition will focus on some of the new features recently rolled out many Dish Network receivers, including discussion and a demonstration on "External USB Storage" as well as a look at what new features which are coming soon, including the possibility of a sneak peek of the upcoming "DishONLINE" video on demand service.
In addition they will be telling customers about Dish Networks new high definition channel offerings coming this Wednesday.

I will be back on Wednesday with another edition of "The Satellite Dish" here at MultiChannel.COM. Please keep the feedback coming, thanks for reading!
