Remember the View-Master?
Meet its 21st Century cousin: Hasbro has worked up a binoculars-like accessory that connects to iPhones and iPod Touch devices to turn them into mobile 3DTV viewers, AP reports.
Content for the My3D device is slated to include video from the forthcoming (and still unnamed) 3D cable network from Discovery, Sony and Imax, including trailers and behind-the-scenes clips from films “for up to 20 minutes,” according to AP.
Other partners are to include Dreamworks Animation and LA Inc. — the Los Angeles Convention and Vistors Bureau — to create “virtual travel experiences” that include visits to the Wax Museum and the Santa Monica Pier.
My3D is to go on sale next spring for $30 a pop.
