The Story The MSM Won't Report: Obama is Irish!

The "Obama is a Muslim" fallacy exploded on Twitter this morning.  The hysteria was reinvigorated when someone posted a twitpic of what appeared to be a sleazy gossip magazine cover story claiming to prove that Obama is a Muslim.

As we gird ourselves for the mother of all sleaze campaigns (now that Obama is up 8 pts. according to the latest Gallup poll) why is the MSM ignoring the real October surprise story? -  Obama is IRISH.

Why, why, why won’t they cover it!? Months ago, several bloggers posted credible reports that Obama is Irish, but the MSM overlooked the bombshell.  Who doesn’t want us to know OBama is Irish?

Why is Fox News’ Sean Hannity looking the other way?  He’s Irish, too!

I call on all Irish MSM (MSM is overrun with Irish for some reason) to report the TRUTH.

The original spelling was actually O’Bama, so I’ve been told by "those in the know."  Unfortunately, TITK didn’t want to speak on record, only on background.  O’Bama was even caught on tape talking about the apostrophe last year but the MSM buried the story.

Some of us Irish-Catholics (we never paid much attention to the Pope anyway) hereby claim O’Bama as our own.  After all, he probably attended Catholic services at some point in his life.  He can probably recite the "Hail Mary" and "Act of Contrition" from memory, and I bet you anything he’s received communion once or twice.

This makes him Catholic, people!

Now we have incontrovertible proof.  Ireland’s Shay Black breaks it down, old school:  "Barack’s as Irish as our own JFK."  See it here, from our very own Starry Plough, a local Irish pub, where Black sings "There’s No One As Irish as Barack O’Bama."

Here’s O’Bama caught on tape talking about the apostrophe last year:

On a more serious note, this column by NYT’s Nicholas Kristof is a must, must read.

Here’s a sad monument to the sleaziness of this presidential campaign: Almost one-third of voters “know” that Barack Obama is a Muslim or believe that he could be….

In conservative Christian circles and on Christian radio stations, there are even widespread theories that Mr. Obama just may be the Antichrist. Seriously….

a McCain commercial last month mimicked the words and imagery of the best-selling Christian “Left Behind” book series in ways that would have set off alarm bells among evangelicals nervous about the Antichrist…

…religious prejudice is becoming a proxy for racial prejudice. In public at least, it’s not acceptable to express reservations about a candidate’s skin color, so discomfort about race is sublimated into concerns about whether Mr. Obama is sufficiently Christian….

P.S.  Shout out to my friend Ron Ford, who sent me the Starry Plough vid.
