BET's 'Reed,' OWN's 'Oprah's Master Class' Win NAMIC Vision Awards

Actors from a pair of cancelled TNT series and a BET freshman comedy show were among the big winners of the 18th Annual NAMIC Vision Awards.

Overall 11 networks won NAMIC Vision Awards, which recognize original, multi-platform television programming that depicts the lives, spirit and contributions of people of color and best reflects the diversity of the global viewing audience, according to NAMIC.

BET, ESPN, HBO, Nickelodeon, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, and TNT each won two awards among the 15 NAMIC Vision Awards categories.

BET's freshman comedy series Reed Between The Lines took Best Comedy honors, while Luis Guzman won for Best Comedy Performance for his work in HBO's How to Make It in America.

TNT's Men of A Certain Age star Andre Braugher and HawthoRNe star Jada Pinkett-Smith shared the award in the Best Performance - Drama category. TNT cancelled both series last year.
OWN's Oprah's Master Class earned the Vision Award in the Best News/Informational category, while USA Network's 9/11-themed film The Space Between won an award for Original Movie or Special.
