BUZZ IN BRIEF
■ Motorola Mobility has resurrected the Razr
mobile-phone brand, announcing an ultra-thin
model based on Google’s Android operating
system, to be available in November
exclusively in the U.S. through
Verizon Wireless. The new Droid Razr
($299 with two-year contract) is just 7.1
millimeters thick and features a “hypervibrant”
4.3-inch display, an 8-megapixel
camera and 4G LTE support.
■ Apple sold more than 4 million iPhone 4S
smartphones in the first three days of availability
— the most ever for a phone.
■ AT&T integrated U-verse TV with four initial
social TV apps for smartphones and tablets that
let customers access real-time chat, content and
sharing features related to what they’re watching
on television. The first “U-verse-enabled” apps
are BuddyTV Guide, Miso, TV Foundry and Wayin.
