Philadelphia-based creative and entertainment
marketing firm Bigsmack has
added Andrew Kobliska as head of marketing
and development, based in the
firm’s new New York office. He comes
from DirecTV, where he was executive director
of creative services and on-air.

CLEARWIRE

Eric Prusch was upped to president and
CEO of Clearwire. He was chief financial
officer.

Also, interim CEO John Stanton was
named executive chairman of the company.

DIY

Ross Babbit was elevated to senior vice
president and general manager of Scripps
Networks Interactive-owned DIY Network.

E!

E! has elevated Cyndi McClellan to president,
network strategy and E! News. She
had been executive vice president, research
and program strategy, Comcast Entertainment
Group.

Also, John Najarian was upped to executive
vice president and general manager,
digital and business development.

GMC

GMC has added Heather Symmes as director
of affiliate marketing. She returns to the
network from Turner Broadcasting System,
where she had served in the role of director
of marketing and network operations.

GOLF

Golf Channel has tapped Jay Madara as
chief financial officer. He comes from parent
company Comcast, where he was VP,
business intelligence at Comcast Cable
Communications.

MUSIC CHOICE

Music Choice has hired Gerry Burke as director,
finance and accounting. She comes
from New York-based social media marketing-
services firm Ventown, where she had
served in the role of chief financial officer.

OWN

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has
named Meg Lowe senior vice president,
distribution and strategy. She comes
from Discovery Communications, where
she was senior VP, distribution.

TRAVEL CHANNEL

Andy Singer has been named senior vice
president, programming and production
at Travel Channel. He had been general
manager of sister Scripps Networks Interactive
sister service DIY Network.

WEATHER

Jennifer Dangar was upped to executive
vice president, business development and
marketing at The Weather Channel Cos.
She had been executive VP, distribution and business development.
