officer. He comes from Direct Energy, where he ran the
information services organization.
Also, Rick M. McConnell was named Akamai’s executive
vice president, products and development. He was VP
and GM of the Unified Communications Business Unit in
Cisco Systems’ Voice Technology Group.
BBC WORLDWIDE AMERICAS
Soumya Sriraman has joined BBC Worldwide Americas
as executive vice president, home entertainment and licensing.
She comes from Palisades Tartan, a distributor
of independent and art-house movies.

Cesar Aldama has joined Comcast SportsNet Mid-
Atlantic as senior director of news. He had been news
director of WFOR-TV and WBFS-TV in Miami.
ESPN
ESPN has tapped Michael Bayle as senior vice president,
general manager of ESPN Mobile. He comes from mobile
marketing developer Amobee, where he was VP, monetization
and marketing, leading global ad operations.
EPIX
Epix has elevated Ross Bernard to vice president, live
events and specials.
HBO
Pamela Levine has joined HBO as executive vice president
of marketing, based in New York. She was co-president,
domestic theatrical marketing at Twentieth Century Fox.

Kevin Bennett has been naned senior vice president,
programming and research at Investigation Discovery,
Military Channel and Planet Green. He was senior VP,
programming at Discovery Channel.
OXYGEN
Joel K. Savitt was namd vice president, production
and operations, at Oxygen Media. He comes from
Katalyst Films, where he was VP, production.
ROGERS
Rogers Communications has named Anthony Staffieri
as chief financial officer, effective in the second quarter
of 2012, to replace the retiring Bill Linton. He most recently
served as senior VP, finance, at BCE Inc.
SMITHSONIAN
Mary Ellen Bottone has joined Smithsonian Channel in
New York as vice president, ad sales. She had been senior
VP, business development at BET Networks.
SPIKE TV
Spike TV has added Alex Eastburg as vice president,
original series, based in Los Angeles. He had been coexecutive
producer of Car Lot Cowboy.
TRAVEL CHANNEL
Davd W. Padrusch was named vice president, production
and development at Travel Channel. He comes from
Towers Productions, where he was VP, development and
an executive producer.
Also, Bill Howard was appointed as director, programming
and partnerships. He was an executive producer at
Discovery Channel.
And Doug Bailey was tapped as Travel’s director, production
and development. He was director, program development,
at Discovery.
UNIVISION
Ana Ceppi has joined Univision Communications as
vice president, agency development, supporting the
Spanish-language broadcaster’s Client Development
Group. She comes from American Express, where she
was VP, brand and advertising.
Also, Julie Pinkwater was named senior vice president
in Univision’s Client Development Group. She
comes from Meredith, where she was VP and publisher
of Ladies’ Home Journal.
WOHLER
John Terrey has joined Wohler Technologies as vice
president, inside sales and channel management. He
has held senior sales and management roles at DK
Technologies A/S, Norterra Technologies and Eyeheight
Ltd.
