ad sales. He comes from Fox Networks, where he
was a sales executive selling Fox Sports Net, Fox College
Sports, Fox Soccer, Fuel TV and Speed.
COMEDY CENTRAL
Chris Scarlata was promoted to vice president, design at
Comedy Central. He was design director, on-air promotions.
CURRENT TV
Mary Murano was named executive vice president,
distribution, at Current TV. She comes from
NBCUniversal, where she was executive VP, TV networks
distribution.
DISCOVERY
Kristen Hilbert was named vice president, national accounts,
domestic distribution at Discovery Communications.
She comes from Current TV, where she was VP,
distribution, responsible for national accounts and fieldsales
efforts for all East Coast-based distributors.
FREEWHEEL
James Rooke was tapped as vice president, advisory
services at San Mateo, Calif.-based video-technology
company FreeWheel. He comes from Time Warner Cable
Media, where he was responsible for corporate strategy
and execution.
Hub TV
Dena Kaplan was named chief marketing officer of The
Hub, the Discovery Communications and Hasbro coowned
kids’ network. She comes from NFL Network,
where she oversaw brand marketing strategies for the
channel and NFL RedZone.
OVATION
Erica Martinez was named art director at arts network
Ovation. She comes from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, where
she was manager of creative for the worldwide television
unit’s marketing division.
OXYGEN
MEDIA
Emily Yeomans was tapped as senior director, communications
at Oxygen Media. She had been director, communications,
at Bravo.
RVR MEDIA
Aurelia Boyle has joined Knoxville, Tenn.-based entertainment
production company RIVR Media as West
Coast director of development. She had developed for
Balance Vector Productions and was director of development
for Hearst Entertainment Productions.
STARZ
Starz has elevated Sheryl Anderson to executive vice
president, human resources and administration. She
had been senior VP.
VONAGE
Barbara Goodstein was tapped as chief marketing
officer of Holmdel, N.J.-based voice-over-Internet
protocol provider Vonage. She has held senior leadership
roles at AXA Equitable, JPMorgan Chase and
Instinet.com.
WEATHER
Eric Hadley has joined The Weather Channel Cos. as senior
vice president, partner solutions and ad trade marketing.
He comes from Microsoft, where he was general
manager, worldwide marketing for Bing and MSN.
Also, Bryson Koehler has joined The Weather Channel
Cos. as chief information officer. He comes from Exigen
Capital, where he was an operating partner overseeing the
private-equity firm’s investments and operations in the
Travel & Entertainment sectors.
WWE
Casey Collins has joined WWE as executive vice president,
consumer products, responsible for WWE Global
Licensing, Home Entertainment and Publishing. He
comes from MGA Entertainment, where he oversaw the
entertainment, consumer products, retail development
and promotions divisions.
