Cordova Elected SCTE ChairmanElected To Upcoming 2013/2014 Term, Will Succeed Mike LaJoie of Time Warner Cable 10/21/2013 2:45 PM Eastern
ATLANTA - SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2013 -- The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers announced Monday that Terry Cordova, executive vice president and chief technology officer of Suddenlink Communications, has been elected as chairman of the board for the upcoming 2013/2014 term.
Cordova will succeed Mike LaJoie, executive vice president and chief technology and network operations officer, Time Warner Cable.
During a meeting here in Atlanta in conjunction with the show, the SCTE board also accepted the resignation of Dr. Pat Crull, Ph.D., group vice president and chief learning officer, TWC, and elected Chris Whitaker, vice president of learning delivery, Time Warner Cable, as an appointed board member and elected a full slate of officers for the coming year.
Cordova is joined on the 2013/2014 SCTE Board’s Executive Committee by:
- Vice Chairman: Werner, executive vice president and CTO, Comcast Cable;
- Treasurer: Chris Whitaker, vice president of learning delivery, human resources, TWC; and,
- Secretary: Jim Hughes, senior vice president, Global Broadband Sales, CommScope.
