        The final Diversity Week festivities in New York proved fruitful for the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) Conference and The Walter Kaitz Foundation fundraising dinner. The 22nd annual NAMIC Conference drew a record 800 attendees over its Sept. 14-16 conference, and the Kaitz Foundation fundraising dinner on Sept. 17 – the last to be held in New York – raised more than $1.7 million for various cable-industry programs. more » » »

        Comedy Central will take the marketing message for its upcoming comedy series ‘Chocolate News’ to the streets with an aggressive urban-targeted, multiplatform promotional campaign. The network will roll out an aggressive marketing campaign for the series, starring comedian David Alan Grier, in seven major markets — New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Washington, Detroit and Chicago — more than twice the outlets for most Comedy Central original programming promotions. more » » »
