Deena Edwards was tapped as senior vice president, global branded solutions at Discovery Networks International. The 18-year Discovery Communications vet had been senior VP, integrated content for Discovery Channel and Science Channel.
NBCUNIVERSAL
Juliette Morris was named executive vice president, partner marketing and communications at NBCUniversal Content Distribution. She was senior VP, partner marketing, creative services and special events at the Viacom Parner Marketing Group.
STARZ
Starz Entertainment has named James Porter to senior vice president, media system and IT development, a new post. He had been VP, media systems and IT development.
Also, Jodi Robinson was named vice president, Internet and interactive technology. She had been director, engineering in the advanced services division.
TIME WARNER CABLE
Time Warner Cable has named Brien Kelley as area vice president for Queens and Brooklyn, N.Y. He had previously managed TWC’s more than 1,000-member New York City technician workforce.
Also, Anthony Ontiveros was named area vice president, Northern Manhattan, Staten Island, Mount Vernon, N.Y., and New Jersey. He comes from RCN.
And Gregg Cory was named area vice president, Southern Manhattan. He comes from Cablevision Systems, where he was an executive leader in the Hudson Valley and Connecticut service areas.
TURNER
Turner Broadcasting System has elevated Missy Chambless to vice president of nonscripted series marketing for TNT and TBS. She was director, entertainment marketing for TNT, TCM and TBS.
VIAMEDIA
Phil Roddey was named general manager for Viamedia’s North Carolina properties, comprising the Charlotte, Raleigh and Greensboro markets. He comes from Morgan Marketing, where he was founder.
WEATHER
The Weather Channel has named Helen Swenson senior vice president of live programming. She was VP, live programming.
