CMT

Katie Buchanan has joined CMT as senior vice president, program planning and scheduling, based in Nashville. She comes from The Style Network in Los Angeles, where she was senior VP, programming and acquisitions.

DISCOVERY

Nancy Daniels was elevated to general manager, Discovery Fitness & Health. She will continue to serve as executive VP, production and development, West at Discovery Channel.

Also, Dolores Gavin was upped to executive vice president of development and production, East, Discovery Channel. She had been senior VP, development and production.

EWTN

EWTN Global Catholic Network in Irondale, Ala., has named Joseph A. O’Farrell as vice president of mission advancement, responsible for planning, coordination and implementation of the religious channel’s fund-raising activities and programs. He was director of programs and development at the Cox Family Enterprise Center at Kennesaw (Ga.) State University’s Coles College of Business.

MY DAMN CHANNEL

Online video site My Damn Channel has named Eric Mortensen as director, programming and acquisitions. He comes from Blip, where he was senior director, content and network programming.

TV GUIDE

TV Guide Network has named Lori West senior vice president, direct repsonse ad sales. She had been VP, ad sales, direct response and paid programming at GMC TV.

Also, TV Guide announced several promotions: Karyn Adelstein to senior vice president; marketing; Michael Kanner to senior vice president, planning, strategy and operations; Paul Adler to senior vice president, programming; and Leslie Furuta to senior vice president, communications.

VIAMEDIA

Joel Simon advanced to vice president, general manager for New York at cable rep firm Viamedia. He had been GM of the New York operation since May of 2011.
