New Episodes to Premiere in 2014
BBC America has renewed Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan for a second season, the network announced Monday. New episodes are slated for a 2014 premiere.

Wild Things follows Monaghan as he travels the world in search of exotic wildlife. The series is produced by Cream Productions and Wildfire Television, and is executive produced by David Brady, Monaghan and Philip Clarke.

Washington – Al Jazeera America has set a launch date. The channel that bought out Current TV will flip the switch the week of Aug. 24, Ehab Al Shihabi, executive director of international operations for Al Jazeera said at The Cable Show on Monday, though an exact day has yet to be determined.

Washington -- TiVo has launched a mobile and second screen companion app system for cable operators, a move that will allow operators to offer TiVo's second screen experience even in homes that don't have TiVo devices.

As part of the launch at The Cable Show 2013 on June 10th, TiVo also announced that Atlantic Broadband, who recently signed with TiVo, will be the first U.S. cable operator to offer the mobile companion app to its subscribers.

TV One will debut the first episode of its new series R&B Divas L.A. via video-on-demand three days before its July 10 premiere on the network.

The series, a spinoff of the network’s series R&B Divas Atlanta, will debut on VOD July 7, the first time the network has debuted an original series before its linear network premiere, said network officials. The Los Angeles series centers on West Coast music stars Kelly Price, Chante Moore, Dawn Robinson, Lil’ Mo, Claudette Ortiz and Michel’le.

WASHINGTON — BYUtv, the only nationwide university-affiliated television network, said its roster will now be available to all Bright House Networks markets on the digital basic tier in both HD and SD across five states: Alabama, California, Florida, Indiana and Michigan.

The agreement expands BYUtv’s previous national audience of more than 51 million households by 2 million more, and responds to increasing viewer demand for family-oriented content, the programmer said.

RMG said the launch increases FamilyNet’s total carriage into more than 21 million homes, “with more launches imminent.”
