U.S. Students Will Work With African Peers to 'Cause An Uproar'

Four public schools in New York City, Philadelphia, St. Louis and Salt Lake City have been selected to participate in a unique cross-cultural initiative, National Geographic's Big Cats Sister School Program.

Beginning in fall 2012, the program will pair the U.S. schools with schools in Kenya, Tanzania and Botswana under the shared theme of big cat conservation.

Chic Eglee Joins as Executive Producer and Showrunner

Netflix has renewed Hemlock Grove for a second season, the company announced Wednesday.

The order is for 10 episodes, down from the 13 that the Netflix debuted in April. Charles H. "Chic" Eglee (Walking Dead, Dexter, The Shield) will join the series as an executive producer and showrunner. The series is produced by Gaumont International Television.

Hemlock Grove becomes the second of Netflix's original series to get a sophomore season, joining House of Cards.

Lionsgate/Debmar-Mercury Secures 10/90 Episode Deal For Series

FX has acquired a new sitcom starring comedians Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammer.

FX has ordered 10 episodes of the as yet titled series from Lionsgate Television distribution company Debmar-Mercury, which will balloon to a 90-episode order if the series meets certain ratings thresholds. The network reached a similar deal with Lionsgate/Debmar in April for a sitcom starring comedian George Lopez.
