Cable One announced late Friday that it has reached a multiyear agreement with AMC Networks for continued carriage of AMC and WeTV.

The contract was set to expire at the end of March 15, so there was never any disruption in service as the parties negotiated over an increase in subscriber fees for the programmer. Financial terms were not disclosed. Phoenix-headquartered Cable One counts 730,000 subscribers in 19 states

After more than six years of kicking the tires on the concept, Comcast has finally decided to take addressable TV advertising to all its markets through a deal with technology firm Invidi Technologies.

According to a source familiar with the project, Comcast is aiming to have the Invidi system deployed across its U.S. footprint by the end of 2014. Such systems let pay TV providers deliver separate spots to individual households based on geographic and demographic data -- to show, say, diaper or baby-formula ads only to homes with young families.

The Bible and Vikings helped History capture its second straight weekly primetime ratings win,  according to Nielsen.

History drew 3.2 million viewers to top all cable networks for the week of March 4 to March 10, besting USA Network’s 2.9 million viewers, according to Nielsen. Disney Channel finished third with 2.4 million viewers, followed by TBS at 1.9 million and Fox News at 1.8 million.

TNT (1.78 million), A&E Network (1.77 million); ESPN (1.4 million); AMC (1.36 million); and HGTV (1.31 million) rounded out the top 10.
