NBC Sports Group set the pace when the nominations for the 34th Annual Sports Emmy Awards were announced Wednesday, garnering 58 nods.

The 58 nominations were spread out among NBC, NBC Sports Network, Golf Channel, nbcolympics.com, Bravo, CNBC, MSNBC, nbcsports.com and Telemundo; NBC received the most with 36. The ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN2, Grantland, ABC, ESPN 3D, ESPNU and ESPNEWS) were second, receiving 43 nominations. ESPN was also the second-most nominated network with 23 nods.

With Actors or nominations to their credit, Bradley Cooper, Viola Davis, Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Justin Timberlake and Sigourney Weaver will be among the presenters for the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be simulcast live coast-to-coast on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at 8 p.m. (ET)/5 p.m. (PT) from the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles. An encore primetime telecast will begin immediately following on TNT at 10 p.m. (ET)/7 p.m. (PT).

It was a huge night for premium cable at the Golden Globes as HBO and Showtime combined to capture nine of the 11 TV category awards.

HBO set the pace, earning five Golden Globes, including three for telefilm Game Change and a pair for comedy Girls. Showtime nabbed four trophies, including a trio for Homeland, which swept the drama category, and the fourth for rookie skein House of Lies.

Homeland continues to rack up the awards, taking home a pair of Golden Globes.

Backing up its Emmy triumph, Showtime’s domestic terrorist show won the Globe for best TV series drama, topping out AMC’s Breaking Bad, HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and The Newsroom and PBS’s Downton Abbey.

HBO's Game Change was the early winner at the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, taking two of the first three statues handed out in the TV categories.

The political film took the award for best miniseries or TV movie with star Julianne Moore winning for best actress in a miniseries or TV movie for her portrayal of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Also taking a Golden Globe was Maggie Smith, who won for best supporting actress in a series, miniseries or TV movie for PBS' Downton Abbey.

PBS led the winners at the 33rd Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards Monday night, taking home nine statues at the ceremony in New York City presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Its P.O.V. received five Emmys, Frontline won two awards for reports on Syria and Cairo and Independent Lens and Nature each took home a statue.
