Time Warner Inc chief financial officer John Martin said the programming giant would seek “aggressive” affiliate fee increases in the next three years, as its carriage deals with every major distributor roll off.

Martin, speaking at the Citigroup Global Internet, Media and Telecommunications conference in Las Vegas, said that Time Warner’s affiliate deals begin to expire in the middle of this year and that by the end of 2016 it would be out of contract with all of its distributors.

Cablevision Systems and Viacom headed into the weekend in the midst of negotiating a carriage renewal deal for 19 of the media company’s networks, including Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and MTV, with their current agreement set to expire Dec. 31.

Viacom and Cablevision reps declined to comment on the negotiations.

According to a source familiar with the discussions, the two sides are talking but “there’s still plenty of ground to cover.”

Under a distribution deal announced earlier this month, Time Warner Cable has added BBC World News for 10 million households across its footprint, expanding the reach of the 24-hour global news channel to 25 million U.S. homes.

Time Warner Cable has added BBC World News to the digital basic package in most systems, including in New York City and Los Angeles. In New York, the MSO on Thursday added BBC World News in HD on channel 698 and in standard definition on channel 156.

Positioned on channel 1159, One World Sports Network is being offered as part of Optimum International’s Japanese, Chinese and Korean packages, as well as a stand-alone addition for $2.95 per month to residential and commercial customers with a digital set-top box and subscribe to Broadcast Basic service and above. Financial terms were not disclosed.
