Aspire Receives Minority Business Certification
Upstart cable network Aspire announced Thursday that it has received the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification by the diversity business-themed National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc.
As a certified MBE, Aspire will assist major corporations and businesses in meeting annual diversity supplier goals through commercial advertising, integrated marketing and content production related spends with the network, the network said. The Magic Johnson-owned Aspire is the only national cable network to receive certification, according to network officials.
“Obtaining our MBE certification is an important milestone for Aspire,” said Johnson in a statement. “We look forward to working with companies who share our interest in reaching and supporting the African-American consumer.”
