Account Manager

Overall Summary


Position supports the Director of a National Account distributor by servicing the Account and maintaining relationships to maximize subscriber growth. Person works in conjunction with Marketing, IT, Creative Services and Production as well as with other functional areas to support the development of marketing and business initiatives.  Assists in tracking and analysis of budget and campaign data. 


Primary Responsibilities


•·         With guidance from the Director, develop account strategies and implement marketing plans

•·         Plan and manage marketing co-op budgets

•·         Manage acquisition, upgrade and retention marketing campaign tactics (telemarketing, direct mail, bill inserts, online, print ads, tv spots, e-newsletters, etc.)

•·         Interact with various HBO departments in the development and approval of marketing pieces (marketing, legal, online, digital library, etc.)

•·         Manage affiliate image requests

•·         Plan POS support with Directors

•·         Monitor day-to-day campaign and telemarketing activity

•·         Maintain performance tracking reports - subscriber, acquisition campaign sell-in, upgrade, and retention campaign results

•·         Manage/track marketing co-op commitments and oversee invoice/payment process

•·         Participate in strategy planning meetings and prepare/present HBO and Cinemax programming updates

•·         Plan and manage special events

•·         Acquire distribution of and maintain favorable positioning for HBO and Cinemax programming service

•·         Sell the benefits and features of new programs and products

•·         Identify and develop sales opportunities with National Account distributor

•·         Build strong relationships with colleagues and National Account distributor executives at all  levels

•·         Develops working knowledge of internal applications and databases associated with tracking  clients, campaigns, and budget.


Requirements


•·         B.A. or B.S. required

•·         2-3 years relevant business experience

•·         Ability to communicate effectively

•·         Excellent written and verbal communication

•·         Ability to multitask without supervision

•·         Ability to work well within cross-functional teams

•·         Proficient with various computer applications, including Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word and Business Objects
