NBCU to Partner With Hispanic Blogger Confab

NBCUniversal has signed on as presenting media partner for Hispanicize 2016 in Miami, the nation’s largest annual conference for Hispanic bloggers and “Latino trendsetters and newsmakers.”

Executives, journalists and other on-air personalities from across NBCU’s properties, including Telemundo, Comcast, MSNBC and NBC News, will appear at the 2016 conference, set for April 4-8 in downtown Miami. The arrangement is similar to last year’s deal between NBCUniversal News Group, Telemundo and the eMerge Americas technology conference, which typically takes place in Miami each May.

“The scope and scale of this partnership underscores why Hispanicize is more poised than ever to be the place where major newsmakers will gather and where significant decisions and announcements impacting U.S. Latinos will take place,” Hispanicize founder Manny Ruiz said in a statement.

The five-day Hispanicize conference is expected to draw some 3,000 attendees, Ruiz estimated.

“By being presenting media partners, we look forward to working with the Hispanicize team to make this event bigger than ever,” Borja Perez, Telemundo senior vice president of digital and social media, said.

Added MSNBC senior vice president and executive editor Yvette Miley, “Hispanicize is seven years strong, and this new partnership gives us a great opportunity to exchange ideas with some of the best in the industry."
