Bright House

Bright House Networks has added Tony Bowman as vice president, human resources in its Central Florida division, He was executive director, HR at Verizon Wireless.

Also, Robin Smythe was upped to vice president, general manager of News 13 from GM.

CNN

Kim Bondy was named vice president, morning programming at Cable News Network/U.S. and senior executive producer of American Morning. She comes from NBC, where she was news director of Today.

CNN has also hired Shirley Hungas executive producer in its new “America Bureau,” combining coverage of its Justice Department, homeland-security and national-security beats. She was a senior producer in the network’s Washington, D.C., newsroom.

Comcast

David Troxel was named general manager of Comcast Cable Communications Inc. in Florence, Ala. A former VP, operations in Georgia for Charter Communications Inc., he comes from Daystar Television Network, where he was VP, affiliate relations.

Cox

Cox Communications Inc. Northern Virginia has elevated Marcie Anderson to vice president, network development. She was VP, new business development and Cox Business Services.

DUCO

The Don’t Count Us Out Coalition has named Cynthia Jasso-Rotunno as executive director. She comes from public-affairs consulting firm Issue Dynamics.

Also, Minyon Moore was named senior adviser.

Entone

Entone Technologies has added Jeff Tyre as director, video-on-demand product development. A project manager for 15 years, he worked for such companies as UXComm, Nortel Networks Inc. and Xircom.

Insight

Insight Communications Co. has named Scott Cooley as senior vice president, operations, West region. He was senior VP, employee relations and development.

Also, Insight Media upped Kevin Dowell to senior vice president from VP, advertising sales.

Insight has also hired Sue Misiunas as district vice president, Northwest Indiana. She had been GM of Time Warner Cable’s Binghamton/Liberty division in Jamestown, N.Y.

Mag Rack

Cyndi Cecil was named vice president, programming at video-on-demand programmer Mag Rack. She comes from Showtime Networks Inc., where she was creative director, executive producer.

MTV

MTV: Music Television has elevated Jessica Samet to senior vice president, original programming and series development from VP.

MTV Networks

Pierluigi Gazzolo was named managing director, MTV Networks Latin America. He was regional director, affiliate sales.

NBC Universal

NBC Universal has elevated Corinne Bellville to director, affiliate field sales from regional sales manager, responsible for New Mexico and Oklahoma, as well as Arizona, Arkansas and Louisiana.

Also, Heather McCarron was upped to director, affiliate field sales, adding responsibilities for Metro New York, Metro Philadelphia and New Jersey.

Finally, Jennifer Toole was named director, affiliate field sales, Northeast region, responsible for Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maine as well as upstate New York and Pennsylvania (except for Philadelphia).

Nickelodeon

Brown Johnson was named executive creative director, preschool television at Nickelodeon Television, responsible for all of the programmer’s channels, including Noggin and Nick Jr. She had served as executive VP of Nick Jr.

Also, Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products named Nancy Wolpert vice president, home video and DVD and Lisa Silverman-Myers vice president, strategic planning and marketing services.

Trilogy

Jim Oldham, a 38-year cable veteran, has joined the sales team of Trilogy Communications Inc. as director, CATV national accounts.
