Ramsey A. Naito has been named vice president of long-form development for Cartoon Network. Most recently an independent consultant and executive producer of made-for-video movies, Naito comes from Nickelodeon Movies.
Court TV
Court TV Online has promoted several staff members. Formerly senior design director, Stella Min has been named senior director, online creative.
Also, Davina Willett has been elevated to director, online development up from senior manager, online development.
Brad Dunn has been tapped as managing director, Courttv.com. He previously served as deputy managing editor.
Harriet Ryan has been promoted to special senior correspondent, Courttv.com, up from senior correspondent.
Andrew Brooks was elevated to director, online development, from senior producer.
And Harry Swartz-Turfle was promoted to senior producer, having most recently served as producer.
Comcast
Comcast has named Debra Cramer director of marketing for the Comcast Atlanta region, concentrating on regional marketing campaigns. She previously worked for an Atlanta marketing firm as an account supervisor.
Also, Corrie Michals has been elevated to director of new technologies, Comcast Atlanta region, from product manager.
Cox
Cox Communications Inc. has named Chris Shaffer as director of residential product marketing for the Arkansas/Kansas region. Shaffer comes to Wichita from Starz Entertainment Group, where he served six years as the national director of affiliate sales, based in Atlanta.
Fox News
Fox News Channel has named Judith Slater as vice president, controller, overseeing the network’s financial systems. Slater previously served as controller and director of accounting for Fox News.
HorseRacing TV
HorseRacing TV has named veteran cable affiliate-sales executive Chris Swan to senior vice president, distribution and business development. Swan joins the network after 11 years with The Golf Channel.
OlympuSAT
OlympuSAT Inc. has appointed Annette Sabouni to the position of director, affiliate sales and distribution. She was regional account executive, central region at Univision Television Group.
Outdoor Channel
The Outdoor Channel has promoted Denise Conroy-Galley to the newly created position of vice president, marketing and research. Prior to joining the network, Conroy-Galley ran her own sports marketing company, Traction Enterprises LLC, specializing in action sports.
Playboy
Playboy Enterprises, Inc. has appointed Steve Smith as managing director of Playboy Television International’s entertainment group. He comes from International Networks/AZN, where he was managing director.
Princeton Server
Steve Israelsky has been elevated to vice president of sales at Princeton Server Group. He was director of sales.
Also, Henry Lisenbee was named regional sales manager. He was most recently the national sales manager for Versa-Cat Automation, formerly Scott Video.
QVC
QVC has named Jeff Charney senior VP of marketing and chief marketing officer. He was a founder of Fringe Ventures LLC, a creative marketing consultancy based in Santa Monica, California.
Sony Pictures
Sony Pictures Television has elevated Thanda Belker to senior vice president, pay television. Belker joined the company from Buena Vista Television.
Also, SPT has tapped Eric Smith as vice president, western region. Most recently, Smith served as Los Angeles sales manager for TeleRep.
Turner
GameTap, Turner Broadcasting’s broadband video game network, has tapped David Reid as vice president of marketing. He joins Turner from Microsoft Corp., where he was most recently director of Xbox Worldwide Platform Marketing.
VH1
VH1 has tapped Rick Beispel as senior vice president, national advertising sales. Before joining VH1, Beispel served as VP, new business development at MTV: Music Television.
Voxant
Voxant, a new open distribution network for online news, has appointed two new executives to its management team. Jill Miller has been named director of news operations. She had worked for such companies as Reuters, AOL, Time-Life Books and UPI.
Also, Ben Steinberg joined Voxant as vice president, development. He had worked for such companies as World Wide Retail Exchange, Engenia Software and IBM Corp.
