C-COR Inc. has named Roger Sherwood vice president of service and development for On Demand and operations support system solutions. He was director of customer solutions, Europe/Middle East/Africa and Asia-Pacific.

Robert Carter was named vice president of commercial sales, Comcast Corp. southern division. He comes from Charter Communications Inc., where he was division VP, Southeast.
Also, Jeff Austin was named regional vice president of engineering for the coastal region. He was VP of planning and strategy for national engineering and operations, based in Philadelphia.
And Lisa Akhionbare was named director of finance for the Southwest region. She was director of business operations, Dallas region.

Eric Weiss was named chief marketing officer, Covad Communications Group. He was an executive in residence for the telecommunications practice at Warburg Pincus.

Roger Metz was promoted to vice president of investor relations, CSG Systems International. He was executive director of corporate development.

Dan Dermain was named production specialist for digital media developer Digital Vision. He comes from ROOT6 Technology, where he was international channel manager.

Matthew McAlpin was named vice president of strategic programming and scheduling at Fuse. He was director, program scheduling at Comedy Central.
Also, Fernando Romero was elevated to vice president of advertising sales, digital media. He was director of interactive sales.

Jaime Pena was named regional director, network distribution and service, Western region for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel. He comes from The Tennis Channel, where he was an account manager, responsible for securing new launches for the network.
