Jack Higham was named vice president of information technology at IT equipment and services provider C-COR. He was chief information officer at weather services provider AccuWeather Inc.

Comcast

Valerie Gillespie was named vice president and general manager of Comcast’s system in Chattanooga, Tenn. She was VP and GM of the Augusta, Ga. system.

Comcast Spotlight

Mark Altschuler was named senior director of national sales at Comcast Spotlight. He has held management positions with ClickRadio, The Myers Group, New World Sales & Marketing, Group W Sports Marketing and WGN.

Also, Rick Campomizzi was promoted to director of sales at Comcast Spotlight in Harrisburg, Pa., He was local area manager, leading the York-Adams sales team and overseeing the Lancaster-Lebanon sales team.

Cox Media

Liz Ryan has joined Cox Media in Hampton Roads, Va., as a local account executive. She had been catering director at Tautogs Restaurant in Virginia Beach, Va.

Front Porch

Greg Voss was named chief operating officer of Front Porch Digital. He was director of finance at technology startup Cornice.

HBO

Andrew Reimer was named senior vice president, acquisitions and production, HBO Video. He was president of DEJ Productions, where he was responsible for production, acquisition and distribution, including operational, creative and legal activities for DEJ subsidiary Blockbuster Entertainment.

Insight

Insight Communications named Jeanne Coleman vice president of its Northern Illinois district. She returns to the company from Time Warner Cable in Buffalo, N.Y., where she was director of customer care.

Also, Kathy Douglass was promoted to vice president, Northeast Indiana district. She was director of business operations for Insight’s West region.

Lindsay

Christopher Skarica was named vice president of engineering at wireless technology provider Lindsay Broadband. He was VP of global technical sales support for Broadbus Technologies (acquired by Motorola), and has worked for Nortel Networks, Rogers Communications, Maclean-Hunter and Cogeco Cable.

MEC Bravo

Tania Villalon was named account director at MEC Bravo, the Hispanic communications division of Mediaedge:cia. She comes from del Rivero Messianu DDB, where she managed creative production and media duties for several U.S. Hispanic accounts including Royal Caribbean, TJ Maxx and Nokia.

OEN

Albert Estrada was promoted to president and chief executive officer of Internet Protocol television and fiber-to-home service provider Optical Entertainment Network. He was chief marketing officer and will continue to oversee the marketing and sales division until a new marketing chief is hired.

Also, former OEN CEO Curtis Overstreet will become director of OEN’s sales-agent program.

Playboy

Bryan Postlethwait was named senior vice president of programming at Playboy Entertainment Group. He was a consultant on Playboy’s Spice Digital Networks and the creation of Club Jenna Channel, Fresh!, Spice:Xcess, and shorteez. Prior to Playboy, he headed programming and promotions at New Frontier Media.

Quantel

Tom McGowan was named chief operating officer, North America, at digital production tool provider Quantel. He was director of broadcast sales operations, Midwest and Western states and national accounts at Avid Technologies.

QVC

Meade Rudasill will join QVC as chief operating officer, effective on Feb. 5, 2007. He was president and chief operating officer of Limited Brands and co-leader of Express.

Also, Dave Apostolico was promoted to vice president of affiliate sales and marketing. He was senior counsel, QVC legal department.

Scripps

Chris Powell was named executive vice president of human resources at Scripps Networks. He was VP, organizational development and talent management, at financial services provider ING Group.

Sun/FSN Florida

Larry Most was named ad sales director at Sun Sports and FSN Florida. He was general sales manager in West Palm Beach, Fla., for CBS.

Venable

Law firm Venable has hired five intellectual property attorneys for its new Los Angeles office: partners Jo-Anna Esty and Stefan Kirchanski; of counsel J. Alison Grabell; and associates Jenna Leavitt and Jennifer Whiting. All five come from Liner, Yankelevitz, Sunshine & Regenstrief, LLP. The group will be led by Esty, former chair of the California State Bar Intellectual Property Section executive committee.
