Visual-effects software firm GenArts has added Steve Bannerman as chief marketing officer. He comes from Apple, where he was director of marketing for the QuickTime TV network.

Roseville. Calif.-based telecom provider SureWest Communications has named Matt Zuschlag executive director of enterprise initiatives. He had been SureWest's executive director, business operations.

Digital entertainment marketing agency Trailer Park has named Evan Geerlings vice president of business development. He comes from Icandy Interactive, a design and interactive studio he founded.

Turner Entertainment has advanced Phil Oppenheim to senior vice president, program planning and scheduling, TBS and TNT. He had been VP, programming at the networks.

Also, Lillah McCarthy was elevated to senior vice president, original programming, TBS and TNT. She had been VP, series programming for the networks.

Larry Fischer has joined Viamedia as vice president, general manager for the New York market. Most recently media sales consultant to SweetSpot.tv, he formerly worked as VP, general manager of Time Warner Cable Media Sales in New York.
