Doug Alterman was named head of original programming and production in Los Angeles at Comedy Central. He had been producing and directing feature films for Fox Studios.

Christine Haynes has joined Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic in Bethesda, Md., as national sales manager. She had been national sales manager for The Comcast Network.

DirecTV has promoted Andrew Reinsdorf to senior vice president of government affairs in Washington.

Draftfcb Chicago has added Rob Farber as executive producer, broadcast, on the Miller Lite account.
Golf Channel
Regina O’Brien was elevated to senior vice president, marketing at Golf Channel. She had been VP, marketing and brand management.
Also, Matt Justine was upped to regional vice president of sales at GolfNow.com; Rob Monson advanced to senior director, online marketing; and Darcie McCallum was promoted to director of marketing, tee times and events.

Peter Iacono was named managing director, international television at Lionsgate. He had been president and managing director of ITV Global Entertainment.
Oxygen Media
Oxygen Media has named Puja Vohra as vice president, ad sales marketing. She comes from Discovery Networks, where she developed the marketing plan for Planet Green.
Also, Maribel Vizcarra was named director, ad sales marketing. She was manager, ad sales marketing at Telemundo.

Mitch Goldstein has joined shopping network QVC as general manager of on-air. He had run his own production shop, Zachary/Blair productions.
Simpson Films
Long Island City, N.Y.-based commercial producer Simpson Films has named Dante Piacenza as executive producer. He had formerly worked as executive vice president, general manager and executive producer of Elias Arts’ New York office.
Turner Sports
John Cooper was upped to senior vice president and associate general counsel at Turner Sports. He had been VP, associate general counsel.
TV Guide Network
Diane Robina has joined TV Guide Network as executive vice president, development, acquisitions and programming strategy. She will retain her post as president of FearNet.
YES Network
Bill Boland has been promoted to senior producer, production at the YES Network, and will become the lead producer for YES’ New York Yankees telecasts.
