Sonia Khademi
was named executive VP for Chinook Communications Inc. Khademi formerly was president and CEO of CableSoft Corp.

Comcast

Comcast Cable Communications Inc. named Michael Nissenblatt
senior director of programming. Nissenblatt's responsibilities will include managing television retransmission and developing and directing Comcast's digital and high-definition television strategies.

Cox

Cox Communications Inc. has promoted Kathleen Gose
to the position of controller for CableRep's Central division. Gose will be responsible for all accounting operations for CableRep, the advertising sales division of Cox.

Discovery

Bob Sitrick
was appointed VP of live production and special project for Discovery Networks U.S. Sitrick will handle the operational aspects of all of Discovery's live events.

E!

E! Networks announced several appointments to affiliate relations. Cindy House
was promoted to VP of affiliate relations, Western region and affiliate marketing; Mary-Jo Matava
was named director of local ad sales; Vince Byrne
joined E! as director of affiliate relations for the Southeast region; and Stacy Hurley
was appointed regional manager for the Northeast.

Encoda

Encoda Systems named Terry Porter executive VP of client services. Porter will be responsible for assessing client satisfaction and implementing client service improvement programs. He previously served as VP for Evolving Systems.

EWTN

Tom Wenzel
was named director of marketing for North America for EWTN The Global Catholic Network. The company also announced the promotion of Fred Strok
to the position of corporate accounts manager.

FNC

Fox News Channel has appointed Patty Sins
as director of marketing. Sins previously served as director of marketing for CBS Cable.

GSN

Brent Willman
was appointed senior VP and chief financial officer for the Game Show Network. Willman had been VP and controller for E! Entertainment Television.

PRN

Premier Retail Networks named Charlie Nooney
CEO. Nooney previously served as executive VP of affiliate sales and marketing for The Walt Disney Co./ABC Cable Networks.

RASCO

Rainbow Advertising Sales Corporation, a subsidiary of Rainbow Media Holdings Inc., promoted Mark Berlinsky
to director of integrated sales. Berlinsky will be responsible for creating, selling and executing cross-platform advertising and marketing packages.

Scripps

Cindy McConkey
was named VP of communications for Scripps Networks. McConkey will be responsible for the company's integrated communications programs, including media relations and public affairs.

SCTE

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers has announced three promotions. Joe Madagan
was named editor for the marketing communications department; Jill Patterson
was promoted to manager of accounting; and Kirk Siltzer
was appointed manager of standards.

TechTV

TechTV appointed Tim Bellamy
to the position of VP and general counsel. Bellamy will head the channel's legal affairs department.

Tribune Entertainment

Ben Knezovic
was promoted to the position of director of advertiser sales for the Tribune Entertainment Co. Knezovic has been with the company since 1998.

TWC

Time Warner Cable has named Bill Hughes
VP of marketing for the company's Southwest division. Hughes previously served in the same position for TWC's Waco division.

WorldGate

WorldGate Communications Inc. appointed Jeff Morris
and Lemuel Tarshis
to its board of directors. Morris currently is president of Digital Media Consulting and has held executive posts at Showtime Networks Inc. and Home Box Office. Tarshis, currently with the Stevens Institute of Technology, has held positions with General Instrument Corp. (now Motorola) and has served as a consultant for Lucent Technologies and AT&T Corp.
