The American Cable Association named the officers serving on its 2000-01 board of directors. Steve Weed of Millenium Digital Media was named chairman of the industry group; Jim Gleason of Galaxy Cablevision was named vice chairman; and Ben Hooks of Buford Media Group was named ex officio chairman.

Arbitron Cable named David Oglevee manager, Western accounts. He had been a senior Scarborough training specialist. Also, Tina Hatfield was named manager, Northeastern accounts, training sales and development. She comes from Adelphia Media Services in Kentucky.

Cablevision Systems Corp. reported two executive appointments: Anne Carmignani, formerly principal consultant in PricewaterhouseCoopers'entertainment and media strategy practice, was named director, financial planning for the Rainbow Media Group and Madison Square Garden units; and Jennifer Ostrager, formerly education content manager, was elevated to director, product development, education department.

Stacey Nachtaler was named vice president, ad sales marketing at CNBC. She comes from i-traffic, where she was regional VP, East Coast operations.
COLUMBIA TRISTAR
Nancy Dunn was named vice president, marketing and creative services at Columbia TriStar International Television. She had co-founded the entertainment division of Construct.com.

Comcast Corp. elevated two in Michigan: Ana Gabriel was named regional director, corporate affairs for the Michigan-East region and Kathleen M. Ebli was named VP, general manager of the Taylor and Hillsdale, Mich., systems.

CONUS Communications elevated Jim Richter to vice president, strategic development, a new post.

Entertainment creative-services agency Crossroads Television tapped Erica Ginsberg as director, business development.

Steve Tello was named senior vice president, news at Fox Sports Net. He had been vice president for news at the regional sports network.

Charlie King was named vice president of the north central region at Mediacom Communications Corp. He had been senior vice president, operations for Insight Communications Co. Inc. in Louisville, Ky.

Richard Alstedt was named vice president, sales and marketing at Pixel Systems Inc. He comes from DMX Music, where he was vice president, sales and marketing.

Eliot D. Russman was named senior vice president, electronic commerce. He had been publisher and director, business development and sales in Hewlett-Packard Co.'s Digital Publishing Solutions division. Also, Marc Brown was named vice president, broadband and convergence atPlayboy.com. He has been vice president, on-air promotion at Playboy TV.

Rainbow Advertising Sales Corp. named Chris Kager head of Rainbow Direct, a new unit seeking to maximize direct-response sales efforts across RASCO's various cable networks. He was president, national ad sales.

Edward K. Zinser was named president, chief operating officer of Styleclick.com. He comes from Internet Shopping Network, where he served in a similar capacity.
TIME WARNER
Jeffrey Hirsch was named vice president, general manager of Time Warner Cable's greater Columbia, S.C. system. He had been assistant to the president at Time Warner Cable of New York City.
UNIVERSAL
Universal Television & Networks Group reported two promotions: Mary Basich was elevated to vice president, business and legal affairs from director, business and legal affairs; and Jane Cruz was upped to senior vice president, human resources from vice president, human resources.
VECTREN
Vectren Communications Inc. appointed Rebecca Phipps director, financial controls. She comes from sister company SIGECOM, where she was director of finance.
