The American Cable Association named Patrick Knorr of Sunflower Broadband chairman of its board of directors, for a two-year term.
Also, Dave Keefe of Atlantic Broadband was named vice-chair, board of directors for a two-year term.
And, six new board members were elected for three-year terms: Bruce Beard of Millennium Digital Media, Allan Block of Buckeye Cablevision, Doug Fuller of NPG Cable, Jim Gleason of New Wave Communications, Dan Ryan of RPM Group, and Steve Simmons of Patriot Media.

Tom Hallen was promoted to senior vice president, programming and scheduling, AMC. He was VP, programming and scheduling.

Charter Communications Inc. has named Keith Hayes vice president, network operations and engineering services. He comes from Adelphia Communications Corp, where he served as a VP.
Matt Bell was named vice president of IP engineering and development. He also comes from Adelphia, where he led design implementation and conversion.
Kelly Ross was named vice president of network planning and capital management. He was responsible for capital management at Adelphia.
Doug Ike, former leader of corporate engineering and development of video at Adelphia, was named vice president of advanced video and applications engineering for Charter.
James Pierce joins Charter as senior director of hybrid fiber coaxial engineering and GIS. He has held engineering and design positions with Times Mirror Cable, Continental Cablevision Inc. and MediaOne Group Inc.
John Roy, former corporate director of advanced video engineering and development for Adelphia, was named senior director of advanced video implementation, Charter.
And Bob Blackburn was named senior director of digital video engineering. He was director of advanced video engineering at Adelphia.

Sam Feist was named political director of Cable News Network. He will also continue in his role as senior executive producer of political programming for CNN/U.S.

Sean Murtagh was named vice president of finance and accounting at Court TV. He comes from CNN News Group, where he was vice president of finance and administration.

George Kliavkoff was hired as chief digital officer, NBC Universal. He comes from Major League Baseball, where he ran the interactive media unit.

Edward S. Lang was named senior vice president and general manager of mobile and wireless business, Playboy Enterprises Inc. He was vice president of mobile initiatives for Sony Corp.
