Fuse Gets Rock Hall of Fame Night
New York — The Fuse music-video network said it signed a three-year deal to air the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, starting with a live broadcast of the four-hour ceremony from Cleveland’s Public Hall on April 4, 2009. Live telecasts in 2010 and 2011 will originate from the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel here.
Nominees for induction at the 2009 ceremony include Metallica, Run DMC, Jeff Beck, the Stooges, Chic, Wanda Jackson, Little Anthony and the Imperials, War and Bobby Womack. VH1 Classic aired the event for the past two years; Fuse president Eric Sherman formerly ran VH1 Classic.
ABC Radio-CEG Align
Philadelphia — Content from Comcast Entertainment Group’s Style, G4 and E! networks will begin popping up on ABC Radio Network stations under terms of a deal between the two.
The branded content that will be aired on stations includes celebrity and entertainment news from E!, women’s lifestyle programming from Style and the latest on video games, technology and web culture from G4.
Carl Anderson, senior vice president of programming and distribution for the radio network said in a release the deal is part of ABC’s commitment to deliver content to member stations that targets the 18- to 49-year-old demographic. “E!, Style and G4 are highly recognized brands among young consumers and based on their name recognition alone, we expect there will be strong interest for the radio content we’ll be jointly developing with the team at Comcast Entertainment Group,” Anderson said.

BET to Go Big on Election Day
New York — BET for the first time on Nov. 4 will devote its entire primetime schedule to Presidential election coverage.
From 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. the African-American targeted network will provide live updates and analysis of the day’s events and activities, said the network. With Democratic candidate Barack Obama in a position to be elected as the first president of African-American decent, BET will air live reports from Jeff Johnson in the New York City studio; Jina Johnson in Atlanta at an election event; Pamela Gentry from the battleground state of Ohio; Andre Showell from Obama’s headquarters in Chicago; and Sharon Carpenter from Senator John McCain’s headquarters in Phoenix.
BET News will also provide commentary from special guests, including BET political analyst Keith Boykin; political pundits Jamal Simmons, Keli Goff and Angela McGlowan, and The New York Times editor Marcus Mabrey, according to the network.
