Bright House Networks expects to launch HBO Go for subscribers in mid-January, after Time Warner Cable -- which allows Bright House to take advantage of its programming deals -- inked an agreement for the service late last week.

Bright House will become one of the last of the major cable operators to offer the premium network's TV Everywhere service, after holdouts TWC and Cablevision Systems reached deals with HBO in the last several days.

According to HBO, HBO Go will now be available to 98% of the network's U.S. subscribers. The service is available for no extra charge to HBO subs, with the aim of encouraging them to keep paying for the linear TV service.

Bright House anticipates kicking off a beta test of HBO Go in early January with a launch toward the middle of the month, according to spokeswoman Kimberly Maki. Leading up to the launch, the MSO is launching a "countdown sweepstakes" on its Facebook page offering prizes to customers.

Bright House announced its deal to offer HBO Go on Sunday via Twitter and Facebook. On Monday, the operator also posted a YouTube video touting the impending launch.

HBO Go offers unlimited streaming access to 1,400 titles, including every episode of every HBO original series, available online and on Apple iOS and Android smartphones.
