CatholicTV Converting To HD

CatholicTV Network is making the leap into high-definition.
The service will begin offering its entire programming slate in HD, beginning on Oct. 13.
The launch of the enhanced feed follows CatholicTV's recent launch of iCatholic, a social network for practitioners of the faith, as well as a new digital magazine within the iCatholic portfolio at www.catholic.com/magazine.
Among the programming that will be presented in HD: This is the Day, an international newscast and interview program with guests from around the world; WOW! The CatholicTV Challenge for children; and House + Home in 3D.

"Having the entire network available for HD viewing both on TV and on CatholicTV.com will continue to bring more people to our family-positive shows," said Father Robert Reed, CatholicTV Network president in announcing the HD bow.
Based in Watertown, Mass. CatholicTV is available in 5.7 million homes on Comcast, Verizon FiOS, RCN, SkyAngel and Full Channel.
