Charter to Carry Altitude

Charter Communications Inc. and Altitude Sports & Entertainment announced a multiyear carriage agreement Monday.

Under terms of the deal, the MSO will add the regional sports network to its basic or expanded-basic tiers in its systems within Altitude’s territory.

By March 1, Altitude will be available on Charter’s systems in Estes Park, Colo., and the Nebraska cities of Alliance, Bayard, Bridgeport, Chadron, Crawford, Gering, Gordon, Hemingford, McCook, Melbeta, Minatare, Mitchell, Morrill, North Platte, Ogallala, Rushville, Scottsbluff, Scottsbluff County, Sidney, Kimball and Terrytown.

Altitude airs Denver Nuggets National Basketball Association games, and it has the rights to the currently locked-out National Hockey League’s Colorado Avalanche.

“We’re pleased to add Altitude to our regional-sports lineup,” Charter vice president of operations, outer markets Gary Massaglia said in a prepared statement.

“In its relatively short existence, Altitude has assembled a quality programming package that should prove to be very popular with Charter customers, especially those who follow college- and professional-sports teams from the Rocky Mountain region,” he added.
