Charter Hires Former Wall Street Analysts

Charter Communications said Monday that it has hired two former securities analysts to its corporate finance staff, reporting to chief financial officer Christopher Winfrey.

Former Guggenheim Securities senior managing director Charles Fisher will join the company officially as senior vice president of corporate finance on Feb. 11, as will former Credit Suisse vice president and senior equity analyst Stefan Anninger as Charter’s vice president of investor relations.

Fisher will be responsible for Charter’s capital markets and merger & acquisition activities. Prior to joining Guggenheim, he headed the Americas media investment banking practice at Nomura Securities. Previously he served as a Managing Director and led Lehman Brothers’ and Nomura’s European cable investment banking business in London, and was a Managing Director for Lehman Brothers in both London and New York. Fisher holds a B.A. from Queen’s University in Ontario and a M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Anninger will be responsible for developing and managing Charter’s relationships with the investment community and shareholders. Prior to his five years at Credit Suisse, Anninger worked at both JP Morgan and Bear Stearns, where he covered the cable and satellite TV industry. Prior to his work in finance, he was with Showtime Networks as Director, Corporate Strategy & International and Director, Business Development. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

“I have worked with both Charles and Stefan over the years, and their financial expertise and knowledge of our industry will serve Charter well,” Winfrey said in a statement. “We’re pleased to have attracted two such high quality hires to our leadership team.”
