Comcast Corp. is adding a “PhotoShow Deluxe” digital-photo-organizing service for its high-speed subscribers, as well as wedding-related content for its TV video-on-demand service.
PhotoShow Deluxe will allow users to create multimedia slideshows and add music, transitions, animation and clip art for their personal photo collections. Comcast is teaming up with Simple Star Inc., a consumer imaging and software company based in San Francisco.
The MSO estimated that 55% of its 6 million high-speed subscribers have digital cameras.
For VOD, Comcast signed a deal with The Knot Inc. (www.theknot.com) to provide wedding-related content for its VOD platform.
The four- to six-minute programming vignettes include Real Wedding Stories, Wedding Fashion Shows and Hot Wedding Trends.
