Comcast Hires EVP of HR

Comcast has hired Kenneth J. Carrig, of food-services firm Sysco Corp., as executive vice president of human resources at Comcast Cable.

Carrig, who officially joins on Feb. 2, was executive VP and chief administrative officer at Houston-based Sysco, previously worked for Andersen Consulting/Accenture, Continental Airlines and PepsiCo.

He fills the post vacated by Charisse Lillie, who last fall became Comcast's VP of community investment and EVP of the Comcast Foundation. He reports to Comcast chief operating officer Stephen Burke and Comcast Cable EVP of finance & administration David Scott.

"We are delighted to have Ken join the Comcast executive team to lead human resources," Burke said in a release. "Ken has been recognized as one of the top human resources professionals in his field and brings extensive experience to Comcast having overseen human resources at several major global corporations."
