CSG Extends Time Warner Cable Deal

Billing services giant CSG Systems International said it has extended its customer care and billing contract with Time Warner Cable through March 2017.

According to a filing Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the new deal includes pricing adjustments for certain products and services currently in use by Time Warner. In return for those adjustments, TWC agreed to extend their deal four years to 2017. In addition, TWC agreed to purchase a minimum level of certain products and services from CSG over the contract term. Time Warner Cable accounted for about 10% of CSG’s total revenue in the third quarter, the company said in the filing.

“We have been fortunate to work with Time Warner Cable for approximately 30 years,” said CSG CEO Peter Kalan in a statement. “Their vision and commitment to serving their customers has enabled them to transform their business from being a small provider of analog video services in the early 1980s to becoming one of the nation’s leading full-service communications service providers. We are pleased to have been an enabler of this transformation and to have earned the right to continue to help Time Warner Cable continue to evolve and grow.”
